Obsidian Christmas E-Card

The following is an image of a Christmas E-card, which we created for a company called Obsidian consulting. They are a business consultancy agency and help both big and small business to improve their business performance.

We started with a quick consultation of our own to understand what the business is about and quickly came up with some ideas which would easily portray what the company does in a more visually appealing manner.

However, it was important to not sell the card as an advertising mail shot as the main intension was to send Christmas greetings. We brainstormed some more ideas and wrapped the business concept with the Christmas concept. We designed a bespoke Santa character and created him in a fun cartoony illustration. We wanted to play off the business concept that it’s good to be in the black rather than red and so created two Santa illustrations, one in his typical iconic red outfit and a happier Santa in a black outfit. The Santa in the black holds his hands up high and welcomes businesses into the black.
